Area Manager
Basic: £29K, OTE: £33K
A company specialising in the manufacture and distribution of cell culture and biotechnology products is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic individual to join the UK sales team. The territory will include Wales and the West of England stretching as far as Manchester. There is a preference for someone to live in Oxford, Birmingham or Bristol, however as long as you are willing to travel any location on territory will be considered. The role involves selling the full range of sera, media, reagents and biochemical supplements to research groups in universities and government research institutions. Your responsibilities will include organising and attending exhibitions, maintaining an up to date customer database and providing technical support where necessary. The ideal candidate will have a life sciences background preferably in molecular or applied biology and have sales experience within the life science sector. Candidates who desperately want to pursue a career in sales should still apply provided they have at least two years' hands-on laboratory experience. You must be an independent person, be willing to work hard and have a tenacious, influential personality. Excellent time management and communication skills are essential to be successful in the job.
