Technical Sales Executive

Basic: £22K

Are you looking to start in a colourful career? Excuse the pun - but this could be the opportunity for you. It's a technical sales representative role, based at the office of a small, family owned company group that manufactures refractometers and colorimenters, and sells them throughout the World. Their range of instruments are sold into diverse industries, from food and petrochemical, to pharmaceutical and sugar production, and 90% of business is export. The role has two areas of focus - for both ranges of products, you will increase product sales in the UK by responding to leads generated by marketing campaigns, and through prospecting for business.

You'll be visiting clients sometimes, to demonstrate products, and have use of the pool car for this purpose. Additionally, you'll be the main point of contact for the distributors in Europe, assisting them with technical support and encouraging them to sell these instruments. It's a great chance for a person who is in the early days of their commercial career, technically minded and suited to sales. If you have a science degree and understand associated instrumentation like GC or HPLC, with some demonstrable technical sales or customer service experience, you will be ideal. You might also come from an applications background in the industry, without a degree, and be considered. The prospects are there for the right chap or chapess - to progress into field sales in the UK or even internationally. If that stimulates your rods and cones give us a call!
