Account Manager

Basic: £22k, OTE: £27k

This is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to move into a sales role. As an account manager you will be responsible for selling specialised consumable products to existing and new end users. As an industry leader in disease-state research, the company supplies a range of products from several brands into defined application areas. These include biochemical and biological reagents, antibodies, assays and research kits. The territory stretches as far north as Manchester and as far south as Birmingham.

Your main aim will be to increase the revenue and profitability of the company. You will achieve this by promoting the range of products at exhibitions, raising quotations, maintaining an up to date customer database and attending product training when necessary. You will need to have a research background in molecular biology, biochemistry or immunology, preferably qualified to MSc or PhD level. You must have at least 2 years of hands on research experience.
