General Manager - £40k

Basic: £40k OTE: £45K

A European manufacturer of laboratory instrumentation is keen to appoint a General Manager for its UK subsidiary.

This is a great opportunity for someone to take on total responsibility for the company's activities within the UK and Ireland. The role will primarily involve end user sales visits to drive sales growth in the UK and Ireland. You will be the sole sales person in the company and will be expected to deliver sales growth of a high value range of instruments. In addition you will manage an office based administrator, hold full P&L responsibility and recruit additional team members when the need arises. You will also handle all customer issues along with holding user group meetings.

The successful candidate will be an experienced scientific laboratory equipment sales person with the ability to understand technical aspects of analytical equipment and its applications. Those with a basic understanding of office management and profit and loss issues will be highly regarded however this is not essential. Excellent business development and presentation skills will however be essential.
