Sales Executive - £40k

Here is a fascinating opportunity. A new technology has been developed by a company in the south east, that is about to revolutionise the known universe!

Well, certain parts of it anyway. It's a 'smart' material that changes properties when exposed to high impact - from soft and flexible to hard and protective. Yes, you read that correctly - this could be the next big name in material technology, and the applications are endless. From skateboarding shoes, to motorcycle clothing, to the military. Their technology has been developed and comprises eight different sheet materials, and they have had a large number of potential clients in contact with them. As a result of the activity, they are recruiting a commercial person to take on a sales role. Whilst many of the larger potential deals are being handled by the MD, there are many smaller, yet equally important enquiries to follow up, with a fast sales cycle and revenue in mind! You will be travelling across Europe and visiting clients in a range of industries, to discuss potential applications and licencing deals. Plus, you will be expected to take the eight sheet materials and commercialise and define them as standard products, creating a 'portfolio' and producing support literature.

For this role you must be flexible, entrepreneurial and a risk taker. You must have experience selling an 'applications based' technology, and ideally an innovative one. There are potential share options available and you will be joining a young and passionate team. As this technology has particular relevance to the sports industry, and the team are an active bunch, it will certainly be appealing if you are a sportsperson! Commission is undefined and this is a new and evolving business - so be prepared for autonomy and plenty of new ideas. Finally, a degree is desired - ideally from an engineering/physics/chemistry discipline. Wow, this could be the start of something really big!
