Technical Services Manager - £40k

The position will involve managing a group of 20 people through four team leaders. Recruitment and the development of this team will be necessary along with developing departmental goals and objectives to ensure that business needs are met. You will have a budget to manage and be solely responsible for handling advanced technical queries and resolving escalated customer complaints. You will also present technical and product information at sales meetings, trade shows and customer sites and communicate customer needs to development teams within the company. The successful candidate will be a PhD or have equivalent research experience in the molecular biology field with a number of years in a technical support function. Proven ability to lead a team and provide direction is required. A minimum of three years people management experience will be necessary along with excellent communication and presentation skills.
