Application Specialist - £28k (£36k OTE)

Following expansion this well renowned life science manufacturer is looking for an applications specialist to cover the east of the UK. This is going to be an exciting role in that you will be responsible for pre-qualifying and setting up customer demonstrations for all the qPCR and robotics products. Your responsibilities will be varied but the goal is that you will become the frontline technical and application support for your customers. On a day to day basis you will liaise with sales representatives, product managers and commercial support personnel so as to ensure that queries and problems are dealt with effectively and that training and information is given to colleagues and customers when required. You will be instrumental in achieving the sales target so you must be willing to prospect for new business and fully support the sales team in their efforts to increase revenue. In addition it will be imperative in this role that competitor activity is monitored and that the information is fed back to the relevant departments.

To be successful you must have a degree in a life sciences subject and must have a good working knowledge of Q-PCR. Microarray experience will be highly desirable. You must have at least 18 months in a sales or applications role but above all be very energetic, customer focussed and very 'technically' minded.
