Due to expansion this small, highly successful instrumentation company is looking for a scientist wanting to get into a commercial role to join their team.

The company sells UV-visible spectrophotometers which include stop-flow, laser-flash photolysis and circular dichroism. The role is very varied and you will undergo intensive training to become a well-rounded, customer-focused Applications and Customer Support Engineer. Once you have achieved this, your job will involve demonstrations, development of applications, occasional on-site service and dealing with technical enquiries by phone and e-mail. There is also a sales aspect to the role in that the company is looking to increase sales of spares, consumables, upgrades and service contracts with existing customers. To be successful you need to be a fast learner, logical and have a practical mind. Ideally you should have a degree or a PhD in a numerate discipline and should have some work experience in a lab or in a customer-facing role.
