Applications/Customer Support - £28k
Due to expansion this small, highly successful instrumentation company is looking for a scientist wanting to get into a commercial role to join their team.
The company sells UV-visible spectrophotometers which include stop-flow, laser-flash photolysis and circular dichroism. The role is very varied and you will undergo intensive training to become a well-rounded, customer-focused Applications and Customer Support Engineer. Once you have achieved this, your job will involve demonstrations, development of applications, occasional on-site service and dealing with technical enquiries by phone and e-mail. There is also a sales aspect to the role in that the company is looking to increase sales of spares, consumables, upgrades and service contracts with existing customers. This is a great opportunity to join a company where employees are respected, valued and encouraged to succeed so if you have the right background I urge you call us now.
To be successful you need to be a fast learner, logical and have a practical mind. Ideally you should have a degree or a PhD in a numerate discipline and should have some work experience in a lab or in a customer-facing role.
