Research Scientist - £25k
Hoorah! If you are working in a lab in the field of proteomics, this is a varied and interesting role that will inspire!
A vacancy exists for a Research Scientist, within the Surrey based European headquarters of a US owned biotechnology company. It's a key role created through growth, and crosses the boundary between science and commerce. You'll be based in the lab, and 60% of your time will be spent on an important project - the construction of a protein database. The other key task is to work alongside the commercial team, providing support and helping the team in their demonstrations. Clients attend the HQ for presentations and demos, so you will be meeting potential and existing customers, assisting in training and providing general lab support. There will also be some market analysis too. It's a really varied job and you'll thrive - but only if you are flexible!
To be considered for this role you must have practical knowledge of proteomics and/or protein purification, ideally with knowledge and understanding of mass spectrometry too. You need to have a life science degree and commercial acumen - as you'll be facing clients and making presentations you will need strong communication skills, a helpful personality, and be team focused. And did I mention a flexible mindset? If this describes you, then give us a call and we'll tell you more!
