Technical Support Specialist - £30k

A superb opportunity to join a growing company as a Technical Support Specialist in one of the UK's largest independent distributors of diagnostic, quality control and related products.

Through promotion, this position is open for a clinical laboratory scientist to step forward into the commercial field. You will work closely with customers, the Field Service Manager and his team of technical service managers and the sales department to ensure an effective response to the customer's needs. In order to do this, you must be willing to attend training courses in the UK and overseas and an ability and willingness to travel with overnight stays is required. The company specialises in the microbiology automation field and your work will be mainly office based in the North West, but some field visits will be required, mainly to pathology laboratories.

To be successful, you will benefit from a scientific background, ideally with medical laboratory experience. Most importantly, you will be a team player with initiative, enthusiasm and the ability to travel widely.
