Biosciences Manager - £60k

This speciality pharmaceutical company is involved in the development of novel CNS drugs, HIV and renal disease treatments and based in the Home Counties. In this role you will have operating responsibility for the Biosciences department within the EU which includes the major preclinical studies, clinical bioanalysis studies and the DMPK components of clinical studies. You will develop and manage the relationship between Biosciences and other R&D and corporate functions, documentation systems and the production of documentation for regulatory submissions. Working closely with the VP of Biosciences you will also facilitate the development of operating guidelines for the function. Document management will also be a key part of this job, producing templates and protocol outlines for for Bioscience studies. What experience are we looking for? A science degree and at least 10 years experience working within the drug development environment, specifically with a toxicology or DMPK function. You will need at least three years experience working in an operations, process management or supervisory role. Experience of outsourcing would be an advantage. A sound understanding of drug development and preclinical sciences/DMPK processes is essential along with working knowledge of the cross functional relationships critical to successful drug development.
