Business Development Manager / Director £50k
A great opportunity to help design and build the European arm of an established US medical information services company!
This is a 30 y.o. 200 employees + French Canadian company, well established in the North Americas, and now starting up in Europe. The product is an information digest produced in various forms - email, fax. CD-ROM etc, which conveys information from the product management departments of the big pharma companies, to a database of 800,000 medical industry professionals throughout UK and Scandinavia. You will be selling concepts and contracts to the head offices of big pharma (mainly in the south east of the UK) work £10-80K (AOV), building sales from circa £500K (first full year) to £13M in 5 years. To enable this growth, you will not just be instrumental in building sales by your own efforts, but will assist the MD in the strategic orientation of the company, and in due course, build a team of four or five sales people. The company has the total commitment of its owner, who has moved to Europe to make this happen. On a high basic salary and open ended commission, your financial as well as business prospects are quite outstanding.
What do you need to get the job? A hunger to succeed financially, the stability to stick with the project and make it successful, and a Rolodex of contacts in big pharma. A life science qualification will help, and to qualify for the upper end of the salary range, an MBA.
