Head of Contracts & Proposals - Europe - £70k
This senior, high profile role reports directly to the Executive Commercial Director based in the US and is an autonomous role within Europe!

The Job:
At this level you will manage the European contracts and proposal function including 11 employees. You will be responsible for department results in terms of cost, methods and personnel with full accountability for hiring, discipline, discharge, performance appraisal and salary review. You will also liaise with senior management to define the strategic direction of the European group, negotiate commercial terms on proposals and/or contracts deemed strategically important to the business, and ensure that contracts/proposals are being effectively managed on a day-to-day basis. You will be paid well for your experience and will also qualify for financial assistance with relocation.
The Person
To be considered for this role you will have strong overall business knowledge, financial experience and the buying/selling process within a general business environment. Previous experience of contract/proposal preparation is essential and knowledge of clinical trials highly desirable. You will also have contract negotiation and customer management skills. As this is a functional leadership role line management experience is required.
