The Company
A biotechnology company that develops, manufactures and distributes systems comprising instruments, consumables and reagents for use in laboratories worldwide. The company is focused on two business sectors: a) tools such as pipettes, dispensers and centrifuges, and consumables such as test tubes and pipette tips b) molecular technologies, which include instruments and systems for cell manipulation, automatic devices for high-throughput screening (HTS), complete systems for DNA multiplication, nucleic acid purification kits and biochips.
The Job
The main goal of this position is to work alongside other sales specialists and distributor representatives to drive forward the reagent business in the UK. How you do this, will be entirely up to you! The company is a well renowned manufacturer of high quality life science products and is proud of what their brand represents. It will be important that you understand the consumables/reagents business and that you have a clear view of who needs to be influenced in the sales process. This role is highly sales focused and some of your other responsibilities will be to provide sales forecasts, monitor competitor activity, maintain an up to date database, cold call, follow up on leads and attend sales meetings.
The Person
The successful candidate will have a degree in a life sciences subject and at least two years of relevant sales experience. Above all, you need to be driven and have the genuine desire to succeed in a dynamic environment.
