Sales Director - £60k (£65k OTE)

The Company: Since 1986, this company has developed and marketed a broad range of proprietary products for academic and industrial markets, including life science research, genomics, gene-based drug discovery, nucleic acid-based molecular diagnostics, genetic vaccination, and gene therapy markets. The Job: The company is well established and manufactures a range of instruments and consumables used in research laboratories throughout the world. The position will primarily involve managing a team of 27 sales people of which four will be direct reports. Sales are in excess of £15M and growing. The company is keen to recruit a highly motivated person who can further develop sales through the team. Coaching and developing individuals will be a key priority along with implementation of the company's sales strategy. Strategy development and key performance indicators will be established by the Sales Director. The Person: The successful candidate will be a life science graduate with at least 10 years of sales and marketing experience in the life science sector. A strong record of sales growth by individual activity and team activity is essential. You should have managed a team previously and be highly skilled in coaching and developing sales people and team leaders to ensure their success in a competitive market.
