Sales Engineer - £24k (£26k OTE)

A leading light in the electro-optics and photonics industries is keen to recruit a sales engineer to boost sales to their international market. The company: Established for more than three decades, this manufacturer supplies a wide range of analytical instrumentation including lasers, infra red gas sensors, and spectrafluorimeters. They sell their products far and wide, and 80% is export, with major markets including China and the USA. They have new products under development and coming soon. The customers are scientists in research and academic institutions. The job: You will join a small team of sales engineers in the Scottish office and work to targets, performing sales through direct selling and also via distributors abroad. 25% of your time will be field based. You?ll also be working with supply companies and selling products alongside those manufactured in-house, attending exhibitions, and helping with marketing activities and preparation of literature. The person: This is a role for someone already performing a technical sales role in analytical instrumentation. Two years of experience are needed and a degree, ideally in physics, engineering, or possibly a life science subject. You should be a team player and motivated, and a bright spark!
