Sales & Marketing Manager - £35k (£40k OTE)

An outstanding opportunity for a person with fresh ideas, enthusiasm and energy. This is a small but highly profitable 15 year old company developing and selling software-based imaging systems for microbiology users in large pharma and biotech companies worldwide. As the first Sales & Marketing Manager, you'll work alongside the two owner/directors to devise a global marketing strategy, and then to implement it! This will require vision, sound sales and marketing skills, a familiarity with the scientific field, and the flexibility to live and work in a freewheeling entrepreneurial culture. You'll need to be based in a delightful rural office near Cambridge, and free to travel widely worldwide. You'll be involved with exhibitions, setting up distribution channels (depending on the business strategy you devise!) and meeting customers from the USA to the Far East. You'll need to be highly computer literate - the customer support you provide will include online presentations. In return for your commitment you'll be paid a high basic salary, and further rewards will be dependent on the firm's economic progress! In the medium term, you'll be treated as a partner, with a view to taking a shareholding after the owners retire.
