Customer Support Engineer - £30k

A leading life science organisation has formed a new company to commercialise its patented new technology that has been deployed to the market for the last three years. They are keen to recruit their first Customer Support Engineer in Europe. The role will be based from the South of the UK and will require travel in the UK and also in mainland Europe. You will be responsible for installation, routine maintenance and emergency repair of the systems. You will also have to test customer sites prior to installation. The systems are smart appliances and related networks; these include RF readers, antennae, microcontrollers, communications modules and related circuitry. The successful candidate will have a HNC in electrical engineering and be highly IT literate. You should have experience of solving networking issues along with electromechanical systems. On occasions, the role will require travel abroad and time away from home. Excellent communication skills and high levels of motivation are essential.
