C++ Software Engineer

A leading life science company that manufactures a range of research instruments is keen to recruit a Software Engineer to join their product development group within the analytical instruments business unit. This company provides drug discovery, genetic screening and chemical analysis instrumentation, reagents and services for scientific research and clinical applications. It offers integrated solutions that accelerate the drug discovery process, improve time-to-market, and help to meet regulatory requirements and create greater manufacturing efficiencies. Working within a team of developers, the successful candidate will have the ability communicate well with the team , whilst also being happy to work on their own initiative. The company's products are highly technical scientific instruments, so a background in a scinece subject would be a distinct advantage, as would knowledge of working with instrument control systems in a PC environment. The successful candidate will be a graduate in a technical discipline or have equivalent experience along with at least one years experience of C++ in a Microsoft Visual Studio environment. Knowledge of MFC, COM and ActiveX controls, as well as safe source controls. Some experience of designing software using Object Orientated methodologies.
