Account Manager - £30k

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a firm that provides communications to science based companies, which is seeking an Account Manager. The organisation specialises in providing business consultation services for their clients from early start up through listing and beyond as a publicly quoted company. The new position has been created through expansion and would suit someone with financial and corporate public relations experience and knowledge of the life sciences sector. The position will encompass all aspects of public relations including promotion of a range of leading companies and technologies and investor relations. The role will be located in the London office and the candidate will work closely with the CEO, directors and account managers. This position is driven by client assignments and is varied but will include, project management, client liaison, copywriting, conference support, and drafting proposals. The ideal candidate will hold a life science degree and have at least two years experience with a firm in the life sciences area with knowledge of the biotech and pharma industries; also the ability to work alone and as part of a team, possess good organisational skills and be able to cope under pressure with tight deadlines - and still come out smiling!
