Applications Specialist - £27K (£30K OTE)

Are you a research scientist in the genomics field who wants to use their excellent communication and technical skills in a more commercially focused position? Then this is the job for you! A highly innovative manufacturer of a range of genomic instruments is keen to recruit a European Applications Specialist to support its customers in the UK and Europe. You will spend 50% of your time working from headoffice providing telephone and e-mail support, and the the other 50% field based in the UK and Europe providing post installation user training, product demonstrations and user group meetings. The successful candidate will be a graduate with research experience or a PhD scientist with a sound understanding of the genomic research field, experience in microarraying and hybridisation would be of high interest. In addition you should have excellent communication skills and be happy to travel in Europe regularly; this is an exciting opportunity to move out of the lab.
