Description: We are very excited to be handling this rare opportunity on an exclusive basis for a high profile and ambitious life science company.  This company founded in the early 1970's has grown substantially over the years and is now the market leader in its chosen field.  On the back of this success they are now keen to expand their business and are keen to recruit a new Business Unit Manager to take them into the molecular biology market.  This will be a highly autonomous role reporting directly to the M.D in a nut shell you will be responsible for identifying new products from existing and new suppliers to establish an attractive and competitive portfolio of products to launch to the market.  You will write and develop a business plan to ensure a successful product launch liaise with the marketing team operations and other business managers to ensure that suitable divisional business growth plans are developed implemented and achieved.  You will hold full P&L responsibility for this division and be solely in charge of its strategic direction.  It is expected that you will recruit sales people in addition to taking a leading role in major contract negotiations with customers.  The successful candidate will be a life science graduate with a thorough understanding of the molecular biology market along with sales management or business unit management experience.  Previous sales team leadership key account management experience and strategic planning experience will be essential for your success in this key position.  This is an outstanding opportunity to develop a new business unit with the full support and backing of a very well established company.  A highly competitive salary and generous commission package will be available to the successful applicant.  To discuss this role in total confidence contact Scott Peacock on 01279 657716 at the earliest opportunity.
