Description:	A leading global manufacturer and supplier of thermal analysis and thermo-physical properties testing instruments is looking to recruit a sales person to strengthen its team in the UK. The company has a modest team in the UK so you can expect to cover customers nationwide. You'll spend around 50% of your time in the Midlands based office and the remaining time visiting customers of which around 60% of the business comes from academic accounts and the remainder from the industrial sector. These products are high value capital equipment ranging from around £10K through to £175K therefore an understanding of the sales process for capital equipment would be beneficial. A technical background in materials analysis/characterisation would be extremely useful although not essential as full company product training would be provided for the successful candidate. I'm looking for people with a desire to move into a commercial role or those with commercial experience either in or out of the scientific marketplace. This role will have varied responsibilities enabling the successful candidate to be involved not only in sales but also the pro-active marketing of the company's products.
