Sales Executive - £24K (£30K OTE)

Job Ref: 5846
Position: Sales Executive
Category: Sales Representative
Basic: £24000
OTE: £30000
Location: Northern England
Description: An exciting opportunity exists immediately for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team promoting our clients' software for the prediction of the toxicity, metabolism or degradation of chemicals to a global clientele, predominantly blue chip pharmaceutical organisations. The company has a lead driven sales approach as most of their customers come from conference led introductions. Your role would be to nurture these initial contacts into long term relationships for the good of the company and the user base. The sales cycle can be long (up to 18 months) so a project management style approach is critical to your success. You'll spend around 30% of your time away from the office presenting to customers, attending conferences and trade shows and as the customer base is global you'll have to be prepared to spend some time away from home. I'm looking for candidates educated to degree level in chemistry or a chemistry-related subject such as biochemistry, pharmacology or pharmaceutical science. The company's software is a neat, knowledge based product that is under continual development to keep it ahead of the (limited) competition. You don't need to be an expert in any of the aspects of this role to get a chance to impress; what you need to be is adaptable, consultative in your approach and have some understanding of chemical structures. Some knowledge of toxicology or metabolism, experience in the use of computer software applications and knowledge of a foreign language would be desirable but by no means essential. You'll be rewarded by an excellent salary and benefits package which will enable you to earn significantly more than our stated on target earnings.  Don't miss this rarely available opportunity to break into the commercial arena.
