Description:	A leading provider of innovative technologies and products for preanalytical sample preparation and molecular diagnostic solutions is recruiting an Instrument Service Technician to join the team. The product portfolio includes a range of automated solutions for sample collection, nucleic acid and protein handling, separation and purification. These are used widely throughout the academic, pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Your remit is to install, maintain and repair the whole range of instruments. You will provide pre and post sales support to your customers and sales colleagues. In addition, you will take part in gathering leads and actively promoting the company brand. This is a great chance to join a world leading organisation with a very strong market presence. So what do you need to succeed? A sound electro-mechanical background and some experience of customer facing service work would be one appropriate profile. Alternatively you may already be working as a service engineer for a scientific supply company or be a hands on laboratory technician looking for a route into the commercial world. You'll need to be located in the North London through to Birmingham region, and be prepared to travel as required for the position.
