Description:	A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a market leading company which designs, manufactures and sells innovative desktop scientific instruments used in the investigation of surfaces. The company is looking to recruit a SIMS Application Scientist with an in-depth knowledge of the analytical techniques used to characterise the surface chemistry of a wide range of materials. Whilst it is not essential, those with practical experience with static, dynamic and imaging secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) would be of highest interest to us. You will initially be involved in developing new applications for the company's main instruments, discussions with distributors and customers and presenting at seminars and conferences. The position will be based in the North West of England and you should be within striking distance of Blackburn, possessing at least a BSc in a relevant subject.
