| Description: | Here is a senior departmental management role in medical affairs! This is an outstanding opportunity for a GMC registered medical director with a broad background in clinical development to take charge of an international medical affairs department. In this role you will co-ordinate all medical affairs input into ongoing and new clinical trials. This will involve signing off CTX applications, providing a medical monitoring service and advising on clinical development strategy from a medical perspective. Due to the high profile nature of this role you will represent the company in the healthcare community through key opinion leader liaison and speaking at conferences/symposia on medical topics. In addition to the project responsibilities you will be managing medical affairs staff across Europe, the department budget and training/development plans. There is a preference for this position to be UK based but other European locations could be accommodated for the right candidate. Who should apply? You must be a qualified, GMC registered physician with a broad based clinical background, higher medical degree and specialism in pharmaceutical medicine. In addition, you will have proven experience as a medical director within either the CRO or pharma/biotech environment and in depth understanding of the clinical development process.
