Sales Manager RoW - £55K (£60K OTE)

Following sales growth, and the expansion of the companies product portfolio, our client is looking to recruit an additional RoW (Rest of World) Sales Manager initially to take responsibility for several of the European territories (Scandinavia and East Europe). This is a great opportunity to join a far sighted company that leads the market through innovation and excellence. The post will require extensive travel across the territories.  
Job function and responsibilities:
· Managing sales of Spectroscopy products in allocated territories
· Organising and presenting at seminars
· Attending conferences
· Managing customer demonstrations
· Generating new business and exploring potential applications
· Preparing quotes, technical information packs and tenders
· Maintaining relationships with existing customers, agents, distributors and subsidiaries
· Utilisation and upkeep of company CRM system with respect to all customer communication.
Person specification:
· Demonstratable success in managing external sales teams including subsidiaries, agents and distributors.
· Extensive practical sales experience in analytical instrumentation, preferably spectroscopy based with thorough proven experience of managing agents and or distributors.
· Ideally have previous experience of the life sciences, pharmaceuticals or bio diagnostics markets.
· First class communication skills with the ability to present arguments in a clear, concise and logical manner.
· Innovative and self motivated with first class organisational skills and the ability to operate independently under broad direction.
· The ability to relate to, and communicate with, scientists and managers from a range of disciplines both internal and external to the company.
· The ability to prepare clear and concise reports and deliver presentations which convey the unique significance of the companys technology advancements.
· Pro active with the confidence to accept individual responsibility and accountability for the delivery of defined objectives.
· Drive and self motivation and the ability to operate as effectively alone as in a team environment.
· A team player with competent matrix management skills thus possessing the ability to interface effectively with internal colleagues as well as those working for third party or client organisation.
