Description:	Rarely does such an interesting opportunity become available within the life science market: a globally recognised leader is keen to recruit a UK Sales Manager. This is a senior level appointment within the company and will involve leading a team of 26 people through a structure of three regional sales managers and two senior level key account managers. The company has a very wide range of products that is utilised in almost every laboratory within the UK. They are in a competitive environment and are keen to continue their sustained sales growth. The role will involve developing and implementing strategic marketing and sales plans to deliver growth. Motivating and developing the skills of the sales team will be essential. The successful candidate will be a graduate, ideally in chemistry with a number of years of direct sales experience and subsequently having moved into a sales management post. Confidence to negotiate with customers at board level and inspire the sales team will be essential. You should have empathy and an understanding of the challenges that face field based sales people in a competitive environment.
