Description:	A leading supplier of molecular biology consumables and instrumentation is looking to recruit a sequencing application sales specialist to join the team. This role will involve building and increasing sales in existing accounts throughout the whole of the UK. You will be a technical expert and as such, you will work closely with the company's key account managers to increase application demand, as well as with the R&D area to ensure that up to date information is passed quickly and accurately to the customer. In addition, you will also be responsible for gathering information on the market and competitors and keep up to date with all possibilities of applications of this technology and have the passion to convey this to others in order to maximise sales opportunities. This is a very technical sales role - a deep understanding of the product is required and so the successful candidate will come from a strong molecular biology background. A PhD, combined with some post-doctoral experience would be the ideal background and any knowledge of gene sequencing techniques would be highly desirable. In addition, some sales experience is required for this position. This is a field based role throughout the whole of the UK and Ireland and so frequent travel will be required.
