Description:	A leading manufacturer of analytical instruments is keen to recruit a Applications Engineer to support their extensive range of instruments in the LC/MS field. The role will be based from the northwest of the UK and involve up to 25% travel within the UK to customer sites. In this role you will interact with the sales team responsible for LC, sample preparation and mass spectrometry product areas and help them to drive the sales process forward by helping with requirements analysis, feature by feature demonstration of complex applications and competitive positioning. You will also deliver technical support, customer training classes and specific one-to-one consulting relating to the customer's application. The successful candidate will have a degree or higher level qualification with experience within high end LC/MS particularly focused on proteomics/large scale molecule analysis (Ion Trap, TOF, QTOF, QQQ, FT-ICR). Previous support experience is not required as full training will be provided. Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to move away from the laboratory but remain in a highly technical role are essential.
