| Description: | Clinical trial management role in Central London with a leading academic institution specialising in Neurology, with an emphasis on research into human prion diseases! In this exciting new position you will take charge of the management of a large observational cohort study designed to monitor clinical disease progression and responses to therapeutic and other interventions. Working closely with physicians, trial co-ordinators, nurses and a statistician it will be your job to oversee the implementation of the study from initiation through to reporting. You will manage the team, track finances, manage all clinical documentation, co-ordinate protocol amendment and regulatory/ethics notifications and ensure adherence to ICH GCP. Part of your role will also be to develop publications, conference abstracts and posters in addition to providing senior management and funders with progress update reports throughout the duration of the study. This is an outstanding opportunity to get involved in an exciting disease area, managing a high profile study with wide responsibilities! Who are we looking for? You could be a nurse with experience of running clinical trials, a PhD scientist with academic clinical research experience or an existing trial manager looking for more responsibility! To succeed at interview you must be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of ICH GCP, financial tracking skills and the ability to implement and manage a clinical trial in the UK. Your experience can come from the NHS, academia or a CRO/pharmaceutical company. You will need advanced IT skills, a confident and assertive nature and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation.
