Description:	A newly formed division of a leading diagnostics company is looking to recruit an Account Executive to cover the UK, Norway and Sweden. The company develops and manufactures instrumentation and reagents used to automate diagnostic and drug discovery procedures. These systems are used in clinical histology, cytology and drug discovery laboratories throughout the world. You will be responsible for developing new customers in the research area in order to place solutions to automate in-situ hybridisation, immunohistochemistry and microarrays with a major focus on pharmaceutical accounts and large core facilities. Responsible for both new business and the development of the reagent business with existing customers, you will also manage the UK profile by attending congresses and symposiums, liaising with the marketing team and providing regular feedback on the UK market. Although the majority of your time will be spent in the UK, you will also be responsible for the Swedish and Norwegian markets so European travel will be required. To be successful in your application, you will be at least MSc qualified in a biological subject, with specific knowledge of cellular and molecular biology. Sales experience is required, with proven success in selling both reagents and instruments in the pharmacology industry and achieving your sales goals. The ability to negotiate at institute management level and a good knowledge of UK purchasing processes is essential. In addition, you will need to be flexible and able to manage your own working time throughout three countries.
