Associate Director, Project Management - Europe - £70K

This is a line management opportunity within project management for a market leading, global company! In this challenging role you will bring together your project management expertise and previous experience in line management to lead a high performing project management team involved in a high profile, global project! As Associate Director, Project Management with this company you will be accountable for the performance of your team within allocated projects, focusing on financial management, delivery and quality. As line manager you will be involved in recruiting new team members, performance management and appraisals, career development planning and assessing training needs. Acting as mentor to the project managers in your team you will support them in the delivery of their projects, providing advice on client management, financial tracking and team leadership. You will also play a key role in proposal development, resource allocation and customer management activities. At this level within the project management department process improvement and change management activities also form a large part of your role. This role can be office based in Scotland, Berkshire, Spain or France. There is some flexibility regarding occasional working from home. Who are we looking for? With a proven track record of international project management within clinical research and previous experience in a line management role you will be looking for the chance to step back from hands on project delivery and manage a team of project managers. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to achieve goals through the leadership of others, be able to motivate and to act as coach/mentor to project managers. Familiarity with resource planning and financial tracking systems is essential.
