Field Service Representative - South West - Mass Spectroscopy - £30K (£36K OTE)

Here's your chance to break out of the laboratory but without the challenges and targets usually associated with a sales role. Sure, you'll have your own set of challenges but you'll be supported by a world leading company with over 50 years experience in the industry and a fantastic team who are frankly a bit crazy! The company supply a wide range of equipment and consumables including FT-IR, ICP-MS, GC/MS, LC/MS, LC-NMR/MS, NMR, MR imaging and dissolution equipment. Initially you will focus on a small section of this product range (probably ICP and GC mass spectrometry and possibly dissolution equipment). You will be responsible for installation, routine maintenance and emergency support for this range of equipment. Generally you will visit one customer per day (although you're likely to be dealing with several machines on each visit) and are likely to spend around one night per week away from home. This role does involve extensive travel, mainly throughout the South West UK although you'll need to be prepared to go anywhere! You'll be visiting a wide range of laboratories including hospital, pharmaceutical, environmental, food and clinical research. Since you are already an expert user of this equipment currently working within a laboratory, you are already familiar with how it works. You may even have performed some basic maintenance but you will receive full training on the more technical aspects of the service work you will be performing.
