Director Business Development - Early Stage - CRO - £65K (£80K OTE)
Here is an exciting opportunity to work for the expanding early stage development arm of a leading international CRO as Director of Business Development! This role is offered on either an office or field basis in Europe, within one of the following countries - UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland or Belgium. This business development role involves both account management and new business development, promoting the company's early stage service offerings to biotech and pharma companies across Europe. The early stage service offerings range from preclinical and toxicology through to phase I/IIa clinical development. You will travel extensively across Europe (up to 60% of your time) to manage existing client accounts in addition to sourcing and developing a new client base of your own. You will also be involved in devising account strategy, expanding service offerings and heading up all proposal and contract activties for your accounts. Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development based in the US you will be one of three business developers covering Europe within early stage development. This small team is poised for exponential growth over the next few years and you have a real opportunity to be a key player in the success of this exciting business growth! Who are we looking for? To suceed in this role you need to be a highly experienced business developer with an outstanding track record in the sales of preclinical and early stage development services to the top 20 pharma and biotech companies across Europe. With a consultative sales approach and the skills required to both manage existing accounts and generate new business you will have the flexibility to thrive within a fast paced and constantly changing business environment. Office based working is preferred but field based is available to qualifying candidates if living close to a major international airport.
