Senior Chemist - Carbohydrate Chemistry - Thames Valley - £30K

An ambitious organisation with a world class reputation in the carbohydrate chemistry sector is looking to recruit a Senior Chemist. This organisation, recently acquired by a large pharmaceutical company, has expanded significantly over the past four years and has invested in new laboratory facilities including a pilot plant. You will have an exceptional academic background to PhD level within the synthetic organic chemistry arena and ideally you will have worked with leading academics in your field of study. Preferably, you will have an understanding of carbohydrate chemistry as you will be involved in carbohydrate research, analysis, synthesis and manufacturing. Your role will also cover the manufacturing of APIs within a state of the art GMP facility. You must have good computer literacy skills and will be able to work to deadlines independently and as part of a team. In addition, you will be a self motivated individual and have a can-do attitude to your work. You will also have good industry knowledge. This role offers a competitive salary along with benefits.
