Strategic Account Manager - Midlands - Protein Research Instruments - £35K (£45K OTE)
This is a rare opportunity to join a global brand leader in the life science arena! Due to internal promotion a post for a Strategic Account Manager has become available to take over responsibility for the South West/Oxon/Midlands/Wales region of the UK. This is a highly strategic role and will involve developing sales for a range of instruments that is orientated around the protein research arena. This is a solution-based sales process and you will be expected to build strong, long term relationships with key research centres in the region. You will have the support of sales specialists in specific product areas to help with technical demonstrations. However you will take the lead in the commercial discussions and feed information back to the development teams to ensure the company will meet the customers future research needs. The successful candidate will be a life science graduate in biochemistry or a protein related research area with previous sales experience within the life science arena. You should have previously had some capital equipment sales experience and be experienced in mapping out customers and building long term, strategic relationships.
