Candidates! Get bear-hugged!The benefits of working with Seltek exclusively: Candidates who are 'in the job market' i.e. actively looking for a new job, often feel that they will find more and better opportunities if they register with several (or even many!) different agencies. Whilst this is understandable, it is flawed thinking. You wouldn't ask several travel agencies to arrange your next holiday, would you? Further Growth at Seltek!Seltek welcomes Miss Charmi Desai to the Life Science Sales team in Bishop's Stortford! A graduate in Human Biology and a Master (presumably that should be Mistress?!) in Molecular Medicine, with several years experience of working in customer service with a major force in world banking, Charmi will be assisting us scour Planet Earth for the finest human beings on behalf of our clients.

Irish Eyes Are Smiling!Congratulations to Irish golfer Padraig Harrington who won The British Open Golf Championship, in a dramatic playoff with Spain's Sergio Garcia. Both men were tied at the end of an exciting contest, and it was reassuring for European followers of The Noble Game that there would be a local winner of the competition for the first time since it was last held at Carnoustie in 1999. There had to be a winner though, and it was the Irishman who held his nerve sufficiently in the four-hole playoff, to win through and capture his first major trophy. Padraig has contributed enormously to the success of European golf in recent years, and no one would begrudge him his success. In golfing terms, Garcia, nine years Harrington's junior, is still a young man and possesses such awesome talent it seems inevitable he will take one or more of the game's top prizes sometime in the future. Is there any place for such information in a biotech recruiter's Hotsheet? Nope. Can we at least learn something from this epic event? Yes! Never say die! (The power of Positive Mental Attitude) |
