In this exciting leap year, Seltek welcomes Ms Ivana Bands to help our clinical research team jump to ever greater heights of success, fame and fortune!

Ivana is an exotic pot-pourri from Port Elizabeth in South Africa, with an Italian Dad and a South African Mum of Greek origin. This spicy blend means that customers and candidates will receive even more sensational service from our Egham-based clinical research team, headed by Diane Elliott.

Ivana has a BSc in Ecotoxicology, and an LLB in Law from the University of Port Elizabeth and the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University respectively. She came to the UK last year with her husband David, and exhibits classic 'iron fist in a velvet glove' characteristics. She combines the self-assured toughness of spirit typical of South African ex-patriots, with the kindness and sensitivity of the man who gave his name to her law college. However, a word of warning to anyone who messes this lady around - she represented South Africa in the 1997 Karate World Championships in Japan, and from 1994 to 1997 was the number one female in South Africa!

So...if anyone wants to apply a choku tsuki or a oi tsuki to their current job, and give a yoko kokomi or kick-start to a new career, then you can contact her on ivana@seltekconsultants.co.uk

Winner of a bottle of fine champagne!

Seltek's Christmas Competition was greeted by the usual rapturous enthusiasm - more people than ever before tried to identify the six photographs of some of the world's most identifiable art museums. Quite a few people got them mostly right, but confused London's Tate Modern with The Tate Gallery.

Only one person got everything right - Ms Meera Vinay of Coventry, and she received a bottle of champagne to help celebrate the festive season.

The correct answers were: Paris Louvres, New York Museum of Modern Art, Paris D'Orsay, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, London Tate Modern and New York Guggenheim.

Well done Meera, and thanks to all the good sports who had a go!
