Seltek diversifies into new markets! As reported last month, results over the last six months at Seltek have seemingly bucked the trend as portrayed in the media. So a decision to diversify into new markets has not been made because the life science sector is suffering from a downturn. In our experience it is not. We have made this decision for several key reasons: When Seltek was set up in 1985, we gave the company its name and set out our stall to help all technical companies recruit sales and marketing staff. This encompassed science and medicine (as now), but also engineering, electronics, construction and so on. So in a sense, we are returning to our roots. We believe that it is an essential part of the long term training plan for all our consultants to learn to prospect and explore new markets. It is certainly vital that they can service clients properly and professionally, and we consider that in the life science field, they do. However, for most of our consultants, it is time to make the next quantum leap in their understanding of the recruitment process: making (new) friends and influencing people. Henceforth therefore, the following fields will be covered by our consultants: Service Engineering: Steve Page steve@seltekconsultants.co.uk So...if anyone needs help find top quality staff in any of these fields, at any level from Managing Director to graduate trainee, and including sales and marketing, technical, management, customer relations. In fact, if you're in need of help, give us a call. We'll help you if we possibly can, and we'll tell you if we can't. Also, if you know anyone who is looking for a new job in any of these fields, please pass our details to them. |
Seltek Welcomes Jon Pearse! As potassium added to water brings about an effervescent reaction, Seltek eagerly anticipates the explosion of business promised by the addition of Jon Pearse to the Seltek solution. Jon starts on 30th June to build a desk specialising in the chemicals industry. A chemistry graduate with over a decade spent as a sales representative in the chemicals industry, Jon will have no difficulty spotting the top flight sales and marketing people the market so desperately craves. And having spent the last two years with a global recruitment consultancy of great renown, he may be regarded as a seasoned professional capable of delivering the highest level of service to clients. Jon will recruit management, sales, marketing and technical personnel across the chemicals industry, on a permanent or a temporary basis, as he is experienced in both these areas. So, if you need to recruit staff in this field at any level from MD to graduate trainee, or if you are looking for a sparkling new career, contact this noble metal* of the recruitment industry on jon@seltekconsultants.co.uk or telephone 01279 657716. And everyone at Seltek welcomes Jon, and wishes him all the best! *Before all you smarty-pants chemists write in, this is known as poetic licence. I know potassium is an alkali metal, but people of Jon's quality are gold-dust! (Ed.) |
