This new company has quickly placed itself at the forefront of cancer diagnosis, providing genetic testing to help clinicians to choose the best treatments for cancer patients.
This company use high-throughput NGS platforms and molecular probes (FISH/CISH/DDISH) to detect actionable mutations, fusion transcripts and copy number variations. They also deliver IHC protein expression profiling for protein based diagnostics.
With successful growth in Europe, they are looking to expand their Cambridge based team by hiring a registered Biomedical Scientist Histology with experience of working in a diagnostic laboratory. You will primarily be using histological, immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization techniques, assisting with the day-to-day running and delivery of the company’s Diagnostic Genomic Services. You will carry out sample reception, sectioning FFPE samples, extraction of DNA and RNA from FFPE samples, performing semi-conductor NGS assays, assist with ordering, stock maintenance and contribute to the Quality Management System plus various other tasks.
The lab and office space is based on one of the science parks so you have wonderful facilities, including gym, café and lots of other friendly new companies in the same building. It makes for a lovely working environment.
If you are a HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist working in Histology and would like to move away from the hospital environment into industry with a friendly team then do call Caroline Searby on 01279 657716 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
