This exciting opportunity will involve maintaining current accounts and identifying new leads to uphold a healthy flow of interest in the products. You will be involved in developing a business strategy to push forward the companies brand, meet your sales targets and ultimately increase profitability. The role is field based with up to 50%% of your time being spent in London and the remaining 50%% being split between Cambridge and Oxford. You will also be expected to attend conferences, workshops and demonstrations to promote your products, so strong communication skills are a essential.
There will be an initial training period where you will learn all there is to know about the products you are selling, and if you require it, some joint customer visits with someone currently on the sales team. After this training you will be working very independently with regular contact with the MD.
We are keen to speak with candidates who have a BSc in life science or engineering and have experience selling instruments into the manufacturing or life science/laboratory sector. The ideal candidate should preferably have experience working within London, Oxford or Cambridge and be happy to be out on the road most days visiting customers. You should possess strong negotiation skills and be confident in securing and closing deals. The salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
