Do you have experience selling equipment in the London, Oxford and/or Cambridge market? Do you want to join a well-renowned biotechnology company selling premium instruments into the life science and industry sector? Are you a driven individual who can take a territory and make it their own?
This exciting opportunity will involve maintaining current accounts and prospecting for new leads to maintain a strong flow of interest in the products. You will be involved with developing a business strategy to push forward the company’s brand, meet your sales targets and ultimately increase profitability. The role is field based with up to 50%% of your time being spent in London and the remaining 50%% being split between Cambridge and Oxford. You will also be expected to attend conferences, workshops, and demonstrations to promote the products, so great communication skills are a must.
There will be an initial training period where you will learn all there is to know about the products you are selling, and if you require it, some joint customer visits with someone currently on the team. After this training, you will be working very independently with regular contact with the MD.
We are keen to speak with candidates who have a BSc in life science or engineering who have experience selling instruments into the manufacturing or life science sector. The candidate should preferably have experience working within the London, Oxford or Cambridge patch and be happy to be out on the road most days visiting customers. You should possess strong negotiation skills and be happy to close a deal. The salary is negotiable depending on experience.
