A large manufacturer of research products has created a new position of Consortium Manager Life Science within their business, this is a senior sales role and will involve looking after three large purchasing consortiums in the UK. The Consortium Manager will take a lead role in negotiating terms with these large purchasing groups and developing the sales activity within them further. The role can be based anywhere within the UK and will involve on average two days in the field and three days at home. You will become very involved in analysing product sales within these groups, address pricing issues, negotiate discounts and also analyse the effects on the business of any discounts agreed.
