Key Account Manager | Promega Ltd | Scotland | to £42K (£58K OTE)

Seltek Consultants are working in partnership with Promega UK to support their expansion, they are now keen to recruit a Key Account Manager based in Scotland.

With a portfolio of more than 3,000 products covering the fields of genomics, protein analysis and expression, cellular analysis, drug discovery and genetic identity, Promega is a global leader in providing innovative solutions and technical support to life scientists in academic, industrial and government settings. The UK division of the global Promega family has grown consistently for over 10 years and now employs 44 people in the UK. This is an exciting time for Promega as they are committed to further growth and expansion within the UK and are building a brand new £10m facility near Southampton which will be architecturally significant and most importantly an amazing place to work! The leadership team are exceptional in their commercial skill, genuinely supportive nature and positive attitude. This has led to a very stable and happy team! Customers are very well supported by dedicated key account managers who are all renowned for their high level of technical skill and a separate technical support group.

This position as Key Account Manager will involve managing a number of defined academic key accounts and not for profit research centres across Scotland. These are established accounts that have been well supported, the goal is to uncover greater potential business. You will join a twelve person sales team focused on helping researchers achieve their goals. You will have a range of market leading molecular and cell biology research products and instruments with which to engage customers. We are keen to speak with PhD qualified scientists who have an excellent understanding of life science research techniques and a strong interest in emerging research technologies. Those candidates with an MSc and compensating research experience should also apply. Previous sales experience within the life science field is desirable but not essential. Promega places strong emphasis on building highly collaborative relationships with customers, therefore great communication skills and excellent relationship building skills are key.
