Regional Commercial Manager
£45K (£50K OTE)
This is an excellent opportunity to manage existing accounts and develop business further across the UK for a leading central laboratory service provider, you will be ideally located in the South East to allow easy access to pharma and biotech accounts in the region. The role will involve developing business for a full range of preclinical services across the UK, there are a number of very well established accounts to manage along with huge potential to develop the UK sales further. You will take total responsibility for the business development in the UK and handle the process from initial enquiry generation right through to contract negotiation, you will be supported by an active marketing team that you will liaise with regularly and have the support of a highly experience European Director. The successful candidate will be a graduate with a good understanding of the drug development process, previous sales experience to pharma and biotech customers is required along with the ability to manage high value, senior level sales negotiations. Applications Engineer LCMS
North West UK
£40K (£45K OTE)
A leading manufacturer of analytical instruments is keen to recruit a Applications Engineer to support their extensive range of instruments in the LC/MS field. The role will be based from the northwest of the UK and involve up to 25% travel within the UK to customer sites. In this role you will interact with the sales team responsible for LC, sample preparation and mass spectrometry product areas and help them to drive the sales process forward by helping with requirements analysis, feature by feature demonstration of complex applications and competitive positioning. You will also deliver technical support, customer training classes and specific one-to-one consulting relating to the customer's application. The successful candidate will have a degree or higher level qualification with experience within high end LC/MS particularly focused on proteomics/large scale molecule analysis (Ion Trap, TOF, QTOF, QQQ, FT-ICR). Previous support experience is not required as full training will be provided. Strong communication skills and a genuine desire to move away from the laboratory but remain in a highly technical role are essential.
