"A very exciting opportunity has become available within a small yet expanding life science company for a Field Applications Scientist to support Europe. The role will involve responding to technical questions from end-users, supporting sales people by presenting the technology and also training end users both on and off site. You will also be involved in writing technical literature and generating technical presentations, it is envisaged that you will travel between 40-60% within the UK and Europe and spend the remaining time working from a home office. The successful candidate will be a graduate with research experience or be PhD qualified in molecular biology or biochemistry having developed a sound understanding of gene expression techniques. You should have a good understanding of the processes involved in the experimental procedures and variables that can make the difference between success and failure of an experiment. Whilst previous commercial experience is not required excellent communication skills and a high level of self motivation and organisation will be essential.
