The company are highly innovative and design microfluidic solutions for the life science sector, they are also developing their own platform technology too which will be launched in due course.
You will be working with your colleagues to design microfluidic chips, using parametric CAD software such as PRO E or Fusion 360 for drawings and then taking this through to the manufacture stage. You will have experience of microfluidic chip design, chip fabrication, fluorescent and bright field microscopy and a background in fluid mechanics.
To do this you will need to understand the microfluidic sector and be able to apply the engineering challenges to the life science sector. You will be working with major players in the cell biology, molecular biology and diagnostic industries.
You will be mainly laboratory and office based, working with a microfluidic specialist and a cell biologist to develop this technology for customers and collaborators.
