Are you involved in Microfluidics Design?
In this Microfluidics Design and Applications role, you will be responsible for the application support and design of microfluidics components for life science and diagnostic instruments.
You will be working with various clients / collaborators to understand their application methods and design microfluidic chips to move their chemistry from the bench into instruments, taking this through to the prototyping stage. Your colleagues can then move this forward to manufacture as this business also has the facilities to manufacture
This is an important role as you will be a key part of the process of moving collaborations forward. You will be working closely with internal colleagues in business development, the lab team in the UK and your colleagues globally, and also potential suppliers. You will be based from their UK lab with a small but growing team which has been set up over the last year. This company is a large global company operating in various markets with a current focus on further developing their life science and diagnostic business, particularly in Europe. So far they have been enjoying huge success with some very exciting collaborations and a lot of investment from the business into their new laboratory space. This is a very friendly, collaborative company where you will be appreciated for the work you put in. The life science part of the business has the feel of a start-up company but without the financial challenges as this is a thriving half a billion dollar company.
